I have been asked to share a little more about ourselves. Deanna and myself have been married for a wonderful 20 years, we have three sons. Mitch, Kevin, and Nathan, I could write a story about each one, they are great young men.

We have enjoyed many different things together over the years. When the boys were young, camping was something we are looked forward to during the summer months. Fishing was just a natural combination with boating, and tubing. Biking was also a family event. As the boys grew they went there own paths. Scouting has been a very big part of their lives, and being very active in the school band, and  the marching band.

As the boys where now becoming more independent, Deanna and myself were given time to pursue our interest. To start with there was a time people gave me books, after the started to pile up. I thought it was time to take up reading. God was placing these in my life for growth. I still enjoy reading a good Christian book. Deanna would like to read, if given the time with out interruptions . She is busy running errands, picking the boys from events. and doing chores around the house.

We have a joy and love to do missions work together. If it be Romania, Spain, Uganda. God has placed this desire in our hearts to share the Gospel with others. We look forward to spend our years together in Uganda. In a house that is under construction, with friends that come to visit from Michigan, and that come to be a part of witnessing for Christ

We started going to Africa on mission trips in the Fall of 2004. We had just recently been to Romania on a mission trip with some youth from our church when our pastor asked if we would consider going to Uganda. He knew a few men from Uganda through the local seminary and put us in touch with them. Everything took off from there.

Ken has been going to Uganda twice a year since then. We stay in the Mukono area, about a 2 hour drive from Entebbee airport where we fly in. We visit many areas around Mukono, visiting schools, churches, hospitals, sick and elderly in their homes and other social events.

Our main focus for this ministry is speaking at schools, reaching the hearts and minds of the future. Literally thousands of children of all ages through young adults are ministered to on each trip. Typically when we visit a school, they shut down their normal schedule and gather to listen to what we have to share about our Lord. We have not been able to count how many have come to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior over the past few years.
